The Week of August 16, 2009

I have some lofty goals for this week. Besides the normal day to day stuff, I want to bring up a Squid server to solve some traffic issues and replace our aging Web server. I have already started on the Web Server so there is a good chance I will get that done before the end of the week. I have installed Server 2008 and SQL Server 2005 on the Server already. IIS is next, and then the transferring of the databases begins.

Hello, I have decided to keep a blog of all the projects that I'm working on at the current time. For the first few posts it's mostly going to be complaining about the Checkpoint Cluster I have inherited and backing up 3 TB's of data from a NetApp using NetBackup.
